Stellar shortlist announced for inaugural Women Automotive Awards

The shortlist for the first-ever Women Automotive Awards, hosted by Women Automotive Network, has been announced, with an esteemed list of professionals being recognised for their remarkable achievements and contributions within the automotive sector.

Held at a prestigious cocktail reception at the Women Automotive Summit at Forum am Schlosspark, Ludwigsburg, Germany, on 20th September, the ceremony has been introduced to honour exceptional individuals who have set new standards and demonstrated outstanding talent and dedication.

Those shortlisted include representatives from well-established brands such as: Dealer Synergy, Hyundai Mobis, Jaguar Land Rover, Mercedes Benz Group, Nissan, Renault Trucks, Robert Bosch GmbH, SEAT Cars, Toyota Motor Europe, Volkswagen Group UK, Volvo and ZF Group.

With all awards judged by Women Automotive Network’s neutral advisory board, the six highly contested categories include: Diversity Champion, recognising significant contributions to championing diversity; the Brightest Star award, celebrating emerging talent within the industry; Most Inspiring Member, celebrating an individual who inspires others through their actions and achievements; Empowerment – The Leg-Up Award! The Leg-Up Award! – which appreciates someone who has gone above and beyond in supporting and empowering others; the Leadership award, honouring an outstanding leader who has driven innovation and fostered collaboration; and, finally, the Male Advocate award, celebrating male colleagues who have actively championed gender equality and inclusion.

Women Automotive Network’s main goal is to strive for gender equality and inclusivity within the automotive industry, hosting a number of networking opportunities and offering a range of benefits through its membership to raise awareness and encourage open conversations. 

The Network is in regular communication with its members, and through proactively engaging with key industry professionals, it was able to identify a desire for a celebration of women in the industry, resulting in the creation of the highly anticipated Women Automotive Awards.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to nominate their colleagues – we’ve had some fantastic candidates put forward and narrowing it down to the final shortlist was incredibly difficult. 

“It’s clear that our industry is full of some truly remarkable people, and we can’t wait to the celebrate each and every one of them at the inaugural Women Automotive Awards.”

The Women Automotive Summit, where the awards will be presented, will bring together industry leaders, visionaries, and aspiring professionals, providing a platform for knowledge sharing, networking, and collaboration. 

It will serve as a catalyst for driving positive change and advancing excellence within the automotive industry.
